Sambalanco was founded in 1996 as community band. We play Brazilian carnival rhythms with a Hastings twist! We perform regularly throughout the year and take part in some great events like Lewes Bonfire, Hastings Bonfire and Jack in the Green. We also help raise money for charities in Hastings.

Sambalanco was founded in 1996, so we are celebrating our 30th birthday this year.
To mark the occasion we will be putting on a special performance with our friends Section 5 drummers as part of Hastings Old Town Carnival week. We will have a drum off on the Stade open space from 4 until 4.30pm on Saturday 8th August. This will be the finale of an afternoon of music and burlesque
commencing at 1.30pm.
